The great philosophical question once was - What is the meaning of life? Now I think the great philosophical question is - How am I being used and am I okay with that?
I am no soldier. A soldier derives power from discipline and obedience. He attains glory through victory and death. A soldier carries violence and wrath in his heart. He executes his mission with his hands and his feet. A soldier's life is his God, his country, and his duty. He protects ideals like freedom, liberty, and justice. His flag is that of absolute right over absolute wrong.
I derive power from creativity and thought. I attain honor through devotion and love. I carry courage, valor, my family and friends in my heart. I stand on my own. My mission is to live. My life is what I make of it. I exercise ideals like freedom, liberty, and justice. I have no flag to bear, except that of peace.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

You need not to climb mountaintops
You need not to cross the sea
You need not to find a cure
for everything that makes you weak
You need not to reach for the stars
when life becomes so dark
And when the wind
does blow against the grain
you must follow your heart
When all your friends
have come and gone
and the sun no longer shines
the happiness for which you long
is washed away, like an oceans tide
When all the hard times, outweigh the good
and all your words are misunderstood
when the day seems lost from the start
you must follow your heart
If you feel you’ve paid the price
and your wounds should cease to heal
and everything you love in life
spins like a winding wheel
and should you wake, to find you’re abandoned
and the road you travel, leads to a dead end
when death creeps in, to play it’s part
You must follow your heart
